“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV
Christ was born of a virgin, lived a simple life, and payed the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. he gave his life and rose again to atone our sins.
I know I have read this passage before at various points, and sat through Sunday School lessons and devotionals taught on this passage. But it wasn’t until reading it again yesterday evening, that it’s meaning really settled on my heart.
Because God created us, and sent his son to pay the ultimate price for us and our spiritual freedom that we belong to him, who created us, and paid the price for our sins.
How we talk, dress, act, and in everything we do, we are to live our lives in such a way that glorifies God. Modesty is a part of that, but is a subject for another blog post.
While God gave us our free will to choose, serving God isn’t always easy, but it is so much better than not serving God.
